I'm determined to catch-up. Week 9 was awesome. Why? Because my younger sister Lydia came to visit. She is the only one of my siblings that has not come to visit Glen and I since we've moved away from Utah. Remember when Kelsey and Andrea visited Texas? And when Christopher visited Arizona? Well it was well overdue that Lydia came to visit. And lucky for her we were in a part of the country that she had never been before, so it was extra special. Plus she arrived the night before my birthday! It was perfect.
So on my birthday, we ate some delicious pizza...
Visited the Reading Terminal Market for some fresh fruit...
Walked some dogs...
Opened some presents...
And this was my present from Glen. I had NO idea what it was (usually I give him pretty specific ideas about what to get me, but this year he wanted to fly solo)
It was a Macbook Pro! Sheesh! You can see on my face I'm super surprised, super happy, and a little mad because it cost so much. But I got over it! You should have seen the computer I had been using... it was 5 years old. And word on the street is technology should usually be updated well before that. Anyway I was very grateful!
And then we went to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. We had to drive to New Jersey (gag) but it was worth it.
All around, it was a fabulous day.
The rest of the week was really great. Lydia and I did a lot of exercising at my gym, did a lot of dog walking, and ate a lot of delicious food. Of course! If you follow my blog at all you know food is a major part of our lives. Hence the extra exercising. And of course we did some sight seeing:)
You can see how uneasy she is about this Philly Cheesesteak. That's a lot of meat!
Of course we did a repeat of the Pizza! This was Lyd's last day right before I took her back to the airport :(
We had a divine time! I miss this girl and can't wait to see her again!
